Gabriel García Márquez is slowly losing his memory
Gabriel Garcia Marquez is not dead, but his memory is certainly failing him.
It would appear that life is imitating art, or at least some form of it. In his book One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel García Márquez’s character Colonel Aureliano Buendía loses his memory at the end of his life and ends up remaking the same 25 golden fish figures until his death.
